As some of you may have noticed that some of the site is glitchy. This is due to the fact that we didn’t pay the bill on the domain name on time and temporarily have lost it. Currently we are moving everything over to thenoirproject.net and hope to clear out all the bugs as soon as we can. We are deeply apologetic about the problems this may have caused, and hope it doesn’t affect any ones interest in the project. The forum is back up though it doesn’t look pretty at the moment, the comics should be all running fine (at least by the end of the evening), and any and all other glitches will be dealt with when found. Anyway, again we apologize for this error on our part, we are trying to get the .com version of our site as soon as we can! Till then, thanks for your patience.

We’d like to give a warm welcome to the newest member to the noir project family Local Girl’s Day in Pictures! It is something different then the rest of the project, but let us explain.

Technically Day in Pictures is qualified as a blog, but its more like a drawn-blog-comic-o-rama. Much like Caroline Clifford’s life her alter-ego’s life us sometimes interesting and funny – and sometimes it is as dull as dishwater – but you know, sometimes you gotta trudge through swamps to get to the valley to understand her. This is what we liked about her comic and why she is now a member of the project; It is different, non-mainstream, and a fun read.

She posts most every day, except Fridays so stop by her site and check her out! We look forward to some great new posts!

There may be a slow down of updates on the RSS feed due to the fact that site admin, Joenis, is out and about visiting both Japan and China from June 7th through the 17th. All comics except his Unconscious Ink, will be posted as scheduled on their regular dates, but may not show up on the RSS feeds properly untill his return, so we appologize to teh RSS followers. Please still stop by the sites of the comics you read the most to support your favorite artist during this time.

Also, to see whats going on with Joenis and his travels, he is posting on his blog with pictures and stories while he is in transit.

As of the end of this week everything will be more or less back on track, so expect to be getting RSS updates again! Joenis is back from Japan and China, and will be posting pictures from his trip soon… Apparently in China, livejournal.com is banned, so he wasn’t able to give updates about anything until now. Anyway, long story short… this means that Thursday you should expect at least a new Inkling and possibly some blog updates!

Also, Local Girl’s day in pictures recently had a make over. Joenis and Caroline colab’d to put it together the other day. So stop by and check it out.

Finally, One Shot, will be on an indefinite break. The reasons aren’t really clear, and we are sad to see one of our regular posts go for the time being, but Zuzu and Jac have assured us not to worry. When we find out anything about a return we’ll keep you posted.

Well everyone, we are starting to grow. The Noir Project family is now ready to introduce our newest member An Unrehearsed Riot, by Ian R. Taylor. The best way to describe this comic is with words such as “random, different, stickly, and unrehearsed” .. if this description makes no sense to you, you probably should just click on his link and check him out. We promise a good time!

In other new, Joenis Norac will be taking a short break on his Unconscious Ink illustrations while he and Ali start to work on a design project they have been planning for a while. Also he will be developing a few new things (and fixing some loose ends) for The Noir Project. When these projects are done they will be announced and Joenis will resume work on Unconscious Ink!

The 2008 San Diego Comic-Con is just around the corner, and we are gonna be there. So if you’re lucky enough to be going, you should definitely try to find us. We’re gonna be there all day on Friday July 25th. We’re not gonna have an official spot but we’ll be wondering around wearing the new TNP shirts, passing out some free swag!
