The Noir Project, or TNP Press, is a collective of artists who have come together to promote and sell their works. It was started in 2007 by Joenis Norac & Ali Showkati, who are also artists on the project. The name, initially proposed by Joenis because of his “dark” sense of humor, is derived from the French word noir, or black. Though the project didn’t stay as unconventionally dark as Joenis originally expected, there are still aspects of this idea littered across the project and his works. For the most part the project overall stands for “unity,” something important to the creators. All works are either copyrighted by the individual artist or protected under creative commons by The Noir Project. If you are interested in joining learn how to submit your works here: /join.
